    reassembled cylinder head can i set the valves cold to get it started if so what gap? their suppose to be set hot at .010 correct? any tips on procedure the rest of motor is assembled.

    i know that they should be set at .020 my question is should they be set hot or cold one manual says cold the other says hot? if they need to be set hot, what should i put them at after assembly

    replacing head gasket on 42b what are opinions on useing some silicone gasket goo or not to goo on surfaces along with gasket?

    is their away to check for cracks in the head or cylinder walls other than visual? had antifreeze in oil pulled off head looked over both surfaces and gasket and where ever else i could see,nothing was obvious.
