    Looking for a starter for a Case 900

    I put a new Wilson 91-01-3777 start on my 900. It has a large solenoid, but is adjustable head which i was able to turn away from the engine block to fit. It sure cranks it over well, fires right up with a blip of the key.

    Fixed 300RN eagle hitch

    At least for the rockshaft versions. It is an incredibly simple setup really. I was scared to dig into it until I saw the diagram in the service manual.

    Eagle hitch wouldn't go down, had been like that since I bought the tractor. The previous owners had only used the loader it used to have on it and had left the hitch in the up position for years and years. The piston had rusted in place in the cylinder. Was able to beat it out and clean it...

    1175 Battery Box finished

    There is about 3-4 inches of clearance, if this were a bigger/later model that had the stronger front axle setup it might be an issue, but with the stock axle there is plenty of room. If you had a heavier front for a loader, just making an angle cut to taper the plate would solve that issue.

    Not painted in the pictures, but I bed spray on bed linered the frame work and box, and left the cover as it was. Extremely solid, no give at all with me sitting on it. Take one bolt out and the battery box still swings out if you want.

    I changed oil with the old setup on there with no problems, the new setup has a few more inches of room, so should be even easier.

    Yes after finish any welding/grinding will take it apart and clean it up for paint. The used cover is original power red and faded to match rest of the tractor so I'll probably just leave it alone. I want some rust/acid protection in the battery box though.

    Previous owner had cobbled together some scrap metals to hang batteries off the side in a scrap metal box he made. I guess it got the job kinda down, although they flopped around quite a bit, but man was it ugly. Got a 90 series battery box/cover from a scrap yard, to clean things up.

    Older neighbor's hips are causing him problems and he can't climb into his 1070 anymore. Anyone fabbed up later model steps onto a 1070 or so?
