Finally got the D in service. Got some hydraulic leaks to deal with someday, but it's running good, keeping cool, good hydraulics, and.Im happy. Only boo boo - I gotta order another temp gauge. My ignition switch somehow came up against the temp gauge and let the smoke out . All the insulation...- Dr. CHIP

well with dumb luck I never bolted the gas tank down and when I leaned against it it moved. I made the astute observation that with the gas tank out of the way the back of the "dashboard" was easy to get to. As soon as my new amp meter gets here I think I'll be in business.- Dr. CHIP

My gauge is an amp meter Should I put a voltage on it? Or how to test amps ? As you probably guessed, I don't know squat about electric- Dr. CHIP

Well; I wasnt done, guess I hit wrong button lol. Second question: Got my alternator brackets made and all installed but amp gauge still reads zero. Got a 1 wire alternator and wire run to amp meter then from there to starter stud Kinda a pain to get under "dashboard" to work on stuff So except...- Dr. CHIP

Update :Got the radiator installed and miraculously no leaks. Wondering if its cooling too good- 125 is as high as it goes and I read somewhere its supposed to be 180-200. I like to think 125 is good.- Dr. CHIP

finally got my radiator back from shop and gonna start reassembly. Its been awhile since I tore it apart and my memory aint worth a crap to begin with. I dont remember how those reinforcing strips went. I have 2 small and 2 longer ones. Can someone tell me how they went? Top or bottom, front or...- Dr. CHIP

thats what I assumed but after I ground the stuff off I dont find any holes. no leaks as far as I can tell off radiator. no light shining through- Dr. CHIP

On another note, I need verification on my amp meter after installing 1wire alternator. Does the 1wire go to the amp meter and then on to the starter post?- Dr. CHIP

It was on outside of tank on bottom. The shiny spots is where I ground filler off. No idea why it was there.- Dr. CHIP
