    Purchased a 2155 last June with 6500 hrs. Last fall I changed the antifreeze. drain, flush and refill with JD Cool-gard II and distilled water. Are you saying that I still may not have enough corrosion protection to protect the liners? I also have other questions. Everything on the tractor...

    Another thing to check is rust in the gas tank shutting off the fuel flow at the settling bulb.

    420 hydraulic pump rebuild

    I finally got around to rebuilding my hydraulic pump on the 420. A bad o-ring was causing hydraulic oil to go to the engine crankcase. I replaced the o-ring on the shaft and was re-asembling the pump body. I notice the new rubber rings between the 3 sections were narrower than the originals...

    Paris, Kantucky tractor/truck show

    I thought they had a good show and attendance considering the threating weather. I went to see Dubuque John Deeres and there were a couple of nice ones but not really very many. I took a son and grandson and they had a good time. That"s all that matters.

    Does the arm on the rockshaft that you are hooking the cable to stick up or down? If it sticks up you have an earlier 420 that was designed for the 4100 cultivators

    420 S cult.parts diagram

    for a 1956 420s you need 4100 cultivators. these have a lift pipe on each side of the driver. these fit 40s and early 420s. the 4110 cultivators fit 1958 thrui 1960 420s and 430s. they lifted with a cable or a single pipe by the drivers left foot.
