    there are timing marks on the gearon the crank and on the gear on the pump Line them up.

    You dont say what kind of baler you are using b ut if you have had your remote lever tied back to charge the baler you have ruined your pump. Been there done that. 308 874 4562

    I have done several 1270 overhauls. Take the front axle out and save yourself alot of grief. Make sure you shim the liners or you will waste alot of time.

    jp most all balers of any breed will have shims behind the knife on the plunger. Sometimes you have to add or remove shims to set knife clearance.

    Your supply of oil will depend on how the baler is set up. OC or CC and what tractor you are using. Give me a call 308 874 4562

    A 2390 or a 2590 works well on a 4900 baler. I would not reccommend a 4 wheel drive. Too much trouble getting in and out. Do Not under circumstance tie the remotes open on a 90 series tractor. It will ruin the pump.I have run those balers for years.
