    Thanks for all the responses. I had the crazy idea of using the higher ratio diferential out of the D17D for a low budget puller and then, thought I might could use the transmission and torque tube also. This is going to be more involved than this shade tree mechanic wants to tackle.Thanks...

    Gleaner E into a D17D?

    Hi guys, Can anyone tell me whether or not I can bolt-up a gleaner e motor to a D17 DIESEL tranny? Will the transmission input shaft fit into the gas motor clutch? Will the gas motor bell housing bolt-up to the tranny? Any help would be appreciated as I'm negotiating for the D17 now. Thanks, Eddie
