9n about to expire.
Have had this 9n about 25 years. Always runs good never much trouble. Other day plowing some snow and it started to make this super load banging noise. Cant tell if it's coming from the engine or trans. But its load and sounds like its going to blow up. I d iij d shut it off quickly but later I...- ffinmich

Leaf blower
Hi, I have a stihl Bg86 blower. Always runs great and starts easily. Now after it sits for few days the cylinder fills with gas then of corse5you can pull the cord untii6i take the plug out and dump the gas out of the cylinder, then it will start. Any idea what's up with it. Thanks -

changed the oil in the 9n and found these
not sure, when they are wiped off, almost look like a brass color.- ffinmich

Hi Have a good running 9n, decide to change the oil today, and I found these, were at least 5 or 6 of these, I fished them out of the oil drain hole with my finger. Also tractor over heated when i warmed it to change the oil not sure if related to these little pieces. Any ideas what they are...- ffinmich

0 volts at the coil, checks 12.5 at the switch- ffinmich

9n no spark follow up
Hi, have a 9n that was converted to 12 volt a few years ago, has 12 coil. Has run great never trouble starting. So now no spark. If I run a wire from the power side of the battery directly to the top of the coil, it fires right up. So maybe the switch, I replaced the switch with one from a...- ffinmich

9n convert to 12 volt a few years back. Always starts easy.went to start it today and no go. As far as I can tell no spark. What is the very first thing you would check. Thanks.- ffinmich
