    NAA question

is the serial number by the exhaust manifold or by the starter hump? it is possible to have a tractor with dual serial numbers or none at all if engines and transmissions have been swapped. but it is also possible that someone just stuck a jubilee decal on the hood.

    4600 differential oil level

I have a 4600 and the check plug for the rear differential is just behind the right side foot rest. It will either be a hex plug or a square headed pipe plug on the right side if your sitting on the tractor. It is about the same height as the transmission check plug. However on my tractor it has...

    4200 power steering overflowing

Also, if your fluid is contaminated or the wrong type it will foam. I have atf fluid in a 4600 and it seems to work ok. Again. not an expert.

    4200 power steering overflowing

If you have a leak then maybe you are sucking air when you turn to the other direction. Does the leak spray out when you turn both ways? I'm not a steering expert but I think maybe if you are sucking air then the air cannot escape fast enough and it makes it overflow. This is just a theory...

Need more help with serial numbers! Ford 4600

Ok I've got a ford 4600, I have located the numbers behind the starter on the implement mounting pad. They read as follows: DA214C 9F22 *B505952* I am looking for the serial number so I can find out what year the tractor is. I have an I&T manual FO-41 but, either I'm just stupid and don't know...

    1953 jubilee

If you tractor has a metal fuel line then disregard this, but if it has a rubber-type hose feeding fuel to your carb check the inside of the line. The ethanol will dissolve/degrade older fuel lines and they can collapse the lining inside the fuel line. And always always always USE STARTRON fuel...

    degreasing pressurewashing: Tips anyone?

degreasers work best when they are sprayed onto a "dry" surface. What I mean is don't spray the tractor with the water hose and then spray on the degreaser, just soak her down with degreaser, wait five minutes and scrub with a stiff plastic brush. Rinse, repeat until clean. Make sure all your...

would this be my serial number?

Hey I was just looking for the same thing on my 53/54 tractor. Look on flat spot facing out to the side on the starter hump just rear of the starter. You might try wiping it real well with rags and taking a pencil and paper and scratching the pencil over the numbers to be able to read them. On...

    Jubilee or not

Your right I could be missing a number but that was all I could read. Do you know if the jubilee 53, and 54 NAA's had a diamond at the end of the serial number. After further examination there seems to be a "gap" between the 8 and 3 on my tractor. All I can read is "AA128 34". I assume it should...

    Jubilee or not

Ok here are the numbers. Please help. If your looking head on at the tractor on the left side. Engine block left side. EAE-6015-D Transmission next to foot rest.29H D1D? maybe. Underneath above number is NAA 7008 on transmission by foot rest. The guides for locating numbers that i've looked at...
