    electric de-stroke ports

Good morning! On my beloved 1979 3130, I had to remove and replace the main drive shaft seal on the high pressure radial pump (34PP1) so I opted to replace all the seals while I had it off the tractor. Problem is I did not take a pic of which ports the electric de-stroke unit goes in and in what...

    JD coupler conversion to Pioneer

Good afternoon! I have 1979 JD3130 and I am trying to figure out what parts kit I need to convert my "JD" style breakaway couplers to Pioneer style. I am needing to reseal them anyway and figure if its not too much money I might consider switching them over to match my other equipment. Can...

    Hay prices up

I know around me, the hay crop is a lot thinner due to some late frosts we experienced. I have heard some talk that hay is going to be hard to find this year. I have sold hay for the last 13 years and have tried to stay in the "average going price" for my area. For me, I wont price gouge. most...

    Diesel Tech Needed

Thank you! Also, I am thinking I should change the cam ring (309D) it shows some galling on 4 of the 6 peaks. I realize its been spinning for 39 years but it seems odd that all the peaks are not wearing evenly. Can the cam ring be purchased?

    Diesel Tech Needed

Good Morning All! 1979 JD 3130 with a CAV DPA injection pump, started leaking externally, so I bought a seal kit and removed pump, disassembled and cleaned it. During disassembly, noticed evidence that top cover has possibly been taken off at some point maybe to put new O-rings on stopper and...

    Re: sickle haybine vs discbine

Just saw this post and now I have to ask, what are advantages of the trailed disc mowers or the disc mo-co style over a 3 point disc mower? I have wondered this myself and have only used 3 point disc mowers. never had enough money to pony up and get a mo-co but have wondered if they are better...

    Main pump pressure check 3130

Thanks for your help on answering the questions I have from time to time. also, if I was to hook up a gauge to adjust pressure would I "plug-in" to the ORB port on the right side, just below the rubber line of the de-stroker (first pic)?

    Main pump pressure check 3130

that is an electric de-stroking solenoid.... I think. I was told it makes it easier to start. wires off of the starter solenoid so it only activated when the starter is engaged.

    Main pump pressure check 3130

Ok, thank you for your help. Also, some background info, when I put the gauge on the rear remotes, it shows 2250 psi. however, the pressure is bleeding off at about 100 psi. in 30 seconds and seems to stabilize at 1900 psi. At this point I am thinking I need to have the valves re-built. I do...

I am not sure how to identify what pump I have, if I take a pic or two would you be able to identify which it is?

    Main pump pressure check 3130

Hello all, I am trying to check and adjust if necessary the standby pressure on the main pump on my 1979 3130. I have the I&T manual and it indicates that there is a plug on the right side of pump that you remove and install a guage. I am unsure which port exactly to try this on. can someone...
