Matthies- I had actually had them fix the splines on the tractor. I should have had them do the exhaust while there but didn't. Here is what they did. See pics. Good stuff! -

Hi guys & gals- We just picked up our Ford 971 from Walthill Service. They rebuilt the splines for us and did a wonderful job. See pic. Now it's on to our exhaust. See pic. I need to replace the muffler and tail pipe for our tractor as the exhaust is shooting thru the radiator... -

Hi guys and gals! Ok, so I have a 901 SoS. Pulled it out if the shed and drove fine for 10 minutes, then it quit. Motor runs but high pitch whine and no gears work. None at all. PTO isnt spinning either. Pulled the cover off and this is what I see. Dip stick shows plenty of hydraulic... -

Hi Showcrop- Regardless of the position of the key, the push button will start the motor. Very odd. I did something wrong but I believe the previous replies to my initial post corrected my problem. Much thanks to all of your help! -

Correct tiller on Ford 901 Series
All- We have a 971 Select-o-speed with wide front. Down side is previous owner welded a loader to the frame. Seems almost too heavy for such a small tractor.
