    560 hydraulic filter

I bought a 560D a few years back, hydraulic filter hadn't been changed in years. I cleaned it up and have since changed oil 3 times and filters many more. I plug hydraulic filter and screen in 3 to 5 hours. Screen in bypass has brown residue that is not magnetic. Problem seems to be getting...

    The new Jeep

Here in PA you could use it on the road if it's for farm to farm purposes. But I paid $25 for a old F250 that does the job pretty well too and it gets farm tags. The gas and registration cost would take a few years to total to $15k but I think I'd rather have it than a new real Jeep.

    IH 240

I got mine a few years ago for a grand. It has factory 3 point but not running at the time I got it but did have new tires (didn't take much). The biggest kicker for me was the cost of the gears for the PTO which someone had poorly welded to the PTO shaft. Something I hadn't anticipated when...

Why does 460 utility has a different manual?

Of course I read the operator's manual! Always learn something and it clarifies the intended use because there are always small changes year to year model to model. Hopping on an old machine and expecting the ta to be the same as a later one for example would cause some problems for example...

Why does 460 utility has a different manual?

I thought finally I bought a tractor that wouldnt require any new books! But now I see my op manual is 460 and 560 farmall and only 560 utility. I can find manuals for it but I'm curious why the difference?

    Mf135 perkins gas woring harness

MF135 wiring harness from MF shows "late production". Was the perkins gas only a late production option or what would make it one vs the other? Mine is from 1969. Thanks

    I'll try that! Thanks.

    mf135 perkins gas fuel heat

My thinking on the hood is that it would provide additional shielding from the muffler. I don't know if the heat "problem" is coming from the block or from the exhaust, and since the manifold has a shield, I suspected it might expect to have shielding from the hood for the muffler. Previous...

    mf135 perkins gas fuel heat

I have a Perkins gas MF135 and when I mow with it I have seen the fuel get hot enough to boil. I have the exhaust manifold heat shield installed and in tact, but I don't have the hood on. Do you think the hood is the key factor here? It is a vertical exhaust so I could see that being the issue...

    Hydro 84 Hydraulic flow question

Great thank you. So how do I know which I've got?

    Hydro 84 Hydraulic flow question

Tractor data shows 13 GPM flow but also 15.4 GPM flow with a * but I'm not sure what that * is for. I need a new valve for the loader. I'm thinking rating at 14 GPM would be fine, but I don't want to screw it up, cause they aren't all that cheap. Any help understanding this...

    Grill ID

Yep... Jeep cut down to fit a tractor. Thanks all! Anyone building a rat rod?

    Grill ID

All the similar grills have 6 slots... I'll have to take a closer look, perhaps it's a 6 slot jeep grill that was cut off on the ends and then used on a tractor. It very much looks like that otherwise, which would put it in "rat rod" parts for me....

How to read the Serial Number

Question one is "why was it put in a shed 7 or 8 years ago" Was something broken? Did an owner pass away or get to a point where they just weren't able to use it? Knowing what it went down for is always the most important thing (same with buying a trade in!)
