    RPM differences on a 656?

    I have a 1970 656 Diesel hear drive that I'm not sure is throttling up enough. Tractor data says it's either 1800 or 2300 rpms later on. How would you raise the engine rpms if it needed to be done? Tractor had the engine rebuilt right before I bought it so I'm still kindve new to it. Thanks

    656 engine rpms

    Hi, I just bought a 1970 656 diesel that has a rebuilt engine. When did IH change the engine RPMs from 1800-2300 on the 656 because it doesn't seem like the engine can throttle up enough. Thanks -Neil

    766 with 886 power?

    We have a 1973 766 that has the D360 motor. It was overhauled in the early 1980s. What are the odds it makes the same power as an 886? Back when the 86 series was still in production grandpa tried one but said it was identical power wise. Any thoughts on this?
