Ammeter with a 12 volt altenator

I forgot to mention this earlier, but there is no such thing as a dumb question. Yeah some people might chuckle a little but thats what excitement they get on here is from us novice mechanics. lol. The only dumb question is one that is not asked.... G.Bott

Ammeter with a 12 volt altenator

Like they said the ampmeter don't care the voltage. My ampmeter is inline between the battery and my junction block on my 41 front mount 9n 12v with gutted coil. Good luck, G.Bott

    Leaf raking 8N style

I personally wrake them. I have a crimson king maple, and a norway maple. Every few years they get a fungus on the leaves. I can't remember the name of it but if the leaves are left to decompose and are not cleaned up the fungus grows back. I know that don't matter to most of you with woods but...

    O.T.-Stihl Chain saw choices

Robert, the one that start with 0 such as 017, 021, 026, 031, 036 are the older versions. Now they would be 170, 210, 260, 310, and 360 now 361. They have a ms infront of them, I believe they were changing around 2 or 3 years ago, not for sure though. I run a chainsaw for a living. A ms290 is a...

    Front mount distributor

I was able to spin mine by hand and by the feel of it I could tell when the tang was in and spun the distributor around to line up with the holes. If it doesn't fit flush don't tighten the bolts your gonna break it, you'll need to rotate another 180 degrees. Goodluck, G.Bott

Glad you read the post but next time if your gonna be like that keep your opinion to yourself. I was thanking...

    Update on 1941 9n 12v

So finished the 12v system with gutted front mount and delco 10si. Got the hood on and all the bolts tightened. Fires up and runs great. Starts right up everyday for the last week. Tightened up elbow from gasline to carb, it was leaking. Took it for about a two mie ride with my two year old...

engine overhaul cost to get it done

I would try replacing the head gasket first and then recheck the compression. As I was told before, Ford calls for 90psi minimum. The oil in the antifreeze can be because of the headgasket. I wouldn't be sure of a crack in the block til' I had it all tore apart or actually found it. Run a...
