    Just wondering if anybody can tell me wat kind of compression i can get on a 48 b with .125 over pistons from murphys with stock stroke. Just wondering if it would be worth lenghting the rods or not. Kinda limited in my area. I would like to run 2nd gear

    traction problem

    Don't just drop the blower onto the pavement, keep a little lift on it, try to fly it 1/2 inch above the pavement. You probably can't actually do that, but in trying to do it, the hydraulic lift will transfer most of the weight of the blower onto the rear end and improve your traction a lot...

    hydralic pump knocking

    If you search in the archives with the words 'pump knocking', you'll find a quick procedure for aligning the pump and PTO shaft, back in 03/30/06. It sure helped quiet the knock mine developed after re-building the pump. I have a suspicion it may actually be knocking against the hydraulic...

    Test your knowledge

    My 1952 TEA had an aluminum bonnet (side pieces in steel). Now replaced with steel. I am told that they used the aluminum when steel was hard to get during the post-war re-construction of the English economy.
