    Dewalt pilot point drill bits

    Careful with these bits. They are making them very cheaply these days. A couple weeks ago I purchased a 3/8 dewalt pilot bit that blew the tip to smitherens as soon as I put it to carbon steel. I'd say the bit lasted about .75 sec. Wasn't too happy as it was a replacement bit and it meant...

    Metal Cutting Tools

    you can try tin snips....they will cut up to 20 guauge. the electric nipper won't do so good of a job...they cut a 3/8 strip off both ends of the cut, leaves a curley Q and they are hard to get around the flange. you have to point them in the direction you are cutting. plus they don't plunge...
