JD 2155 seat cushions and trans dipstick location

No, I have a 2240 and that is where it is. The floor boards are different though on the 2155. I am miffed on where else to look. I just don’t see anything like what is in that pic below. If someone could post a pic of the tube in that pic where it goes into the rear end, maybe I’m just not...

JD 2155 seat cushions and trans dipstick location

It’s definitely a rubber cup plug. Kinda like a thimble with a flange around the top, put in upside down. I don’t want to remove it until I have something to put back in it incase I bugger it up getting it out. Tractor was bought new by the city and used at the waste water plant back when...

Tractor is the later one. The plug is a sort of rubber one, and I agree, I would have thought it would be a steel or brass plug.

Well gee wiz. I don’t have a dipstick there either, only a plug. Any other ideas?

Thank you! Funny, I live between Cleburne and Glen Rose. We’re almost neighbors!

The PTO shield is bent down obscuring the view on mine. I will remove it and look. Thank you for the suggestion!

I had tried that, but the bolt holes don’t look anything like what I have. Thank you just the same.

JD 2155 seat cushions and trans dipstick location

Where can I get seat bottom and back cushions for this model tractor? I’m not even sure if it is the factory seat or not. Looking at partscatalog.deere.com I don’t see one exactly like it out of the several options shown. Thanks for all your input on where to go. Also, I cannot find where...

    2240 stuck clutch

Thanks guys for your input. I have ordered an IT manual to help me along. I have split a handful of tractors before, so it’s not totally new to me. I’ll just have to make some stands. Looking at it, there are 2 steel hydraulic lines that mount to the belly of the tractor. When I remove...

    2240 stuck clutch

Well, so far I have had no luck. I hooked it to a chisel plow too big for the tractor. I was able to get it up into 4th gear low range and drag the plow around, lowering it until rear wheels spun and then raise it lurching the tractor forward. I did this for nearly an hour with no luck...

    2240 stuck clutch

Fairly new to me tractor. I had it parked outside for a few weeks. I went to start it and pull it up to my shop to work on the horizontal exhaust and the clutch would not disengage. If I idle it way down, I can get it in 1L or 1R with minimal grinding, but with the clutch pushed in, I can...

    John Deere R55011 block Identification

The top casting number R55011on the block, according to Google AI, says it is a 219. The second casting number R55034, according to Google AI, says it is a 202. That’s why I wasn’t sure.

    John Deere R55011 block Identification

I have purchased an old, 70’s or 80’s I think, air compressor. It appears to have a 4 cylinder JD engine with block casting numbers R55011 and R55034. It came with the injection pump removed and in a box, disassembled. The tag on the Stanadyne IP is jdb435md 2802. Seller was an older...
