    4520 hydraulic pressure adjustment

Need advice on hydraulic issues with a 1969 model 4520. Tractor has around 5k hours. Noticed a while back that the 3pt hitch was slower to raise than normal. It also seems to make a just a little more noise than usual when raising as well as when using remotes and some with steering. Its not...

6400 stepper motor 3 pt hitch

Our 6400 3pt hitch would not work yesterday. I tried to raise and lower hitch with the stepper valve but I can only push the screw in, it won't turn left or right. Could it be frozen up inside? I took it off and the shaft on it won't turn by hand at all. Could a problem with the stepper valve...

    6400 power steering cylinders

Take it off on the wheel side but .leave it attached to tractor side. Remove the hydraulic hose and look inside barrel. At the end of the rod is a retaining ring. You can work it off with a screwdriver or pick through the hole and then pull the rod out.

    4520 Synchronizers

I have a 4520 synchro that upshifts great on the go like from 4 to 7 and 6 to 8. Works good in all ranges that way. However it won't downshift like from 8 to 6 on the go without grinding. You have to almost come to a stop to downshift it. Is this an issue with the synchronizers or is it an...

    4250 LED Warning Lights Update

TimS made the same suggestion to me a while back. I also ordered 4 round LED flashers for my 4320 from TIger Lights. I love the lights, very good quality, but I was having the same trouble getting them to work that you are. They would work a little but very dim and wouldnt flash. I called Tiger...

More questions about LEDs and flashers

I have read the earlier post about LEDs and flashers and I am still a little confused. We have a 4320 that we took the old year round cab off and put on fenders, roll bar and canopy. I decided I wanted to rewire all the lighting and put in all new LED's. I bought the really nice ones that fit in...

Question about corn on the cob yield

I don't see that ear size would make a huge difference. A friend is going to plant it for me with his 7000 JD planter on 38" rows when he plants his crop. Will have to check on that. Thanks!
