    I believe that you are right grwrench. I started to place the inj. pump in last night and the way you described how the slot needs to be will allow for the inj. pump to be in time. I have a couple of service manuals and found this picture. Thanks everyone.

    1970 JD 4020 diesel, engine ser 269,xxx and I have forgotten, does the main thrust bearing on the crank, is it one thrust washer in the block and is it placed on the front side. The manual is showing the washer to the front and two washers on the cap. TIA! Gary

    rear cast wheels

    I have a 3010 gas which has 36" rear tires. I have a chance to buy tires, rims and cast wheels which are 18.4 x 34 off of a 4020. My question is can I use the wedges from the 3010 wheels to replace the 4020 wedges? Also, is a 18.4 x 34 too big for a 3010? Thanks.
