.125 piston kit for unstyled John Deere B

Can anyone help me locate someone who has a .125 piston kit in stock for a unstyled John Deere B? Lind bros told me there is a back order but I was wondering if someone had a kit in stock somewhere. It’s for my Dad’s B. We had to get a different block and it had to be bored to .125 and we would...

    Gehl 1400 baler

Well I did check out the shear pin and found that it is loose. Im almost thinking its not even the right size. The two plates that it goes through have slop in them and it looks like its just enough to keep the arm from moving all the way to flip up the knife. I appreciate the help!

    Gehl 1400 baler

Hey guys Weve got a Gehl 1400 round baler we got it last year towards the end of the season. It has hydraulic twine on it. My question is has anyone ever used one before or the Ford baler like it? Our twine arm seems to have some slop in it and it doesnt want to cut after tying a bale. I...

    Overheating B414

Thanks for the replies. Just to clear up a few things. The radiator has been blown out from chaff before this started. I only brought up about the thermostat being stuck open because I had been told the water circulating too fast could cause an issue (even though I had not heard that before). I...

    Overheating B414

Thank you for the reply. Ill definitely get a shroud of some sort out on but what baffles me is that it didnt run hot last year and the only thing Ive changed was the belt configuration back to how it originally should have been.

    Overheating B414

Ok need some input. We have aB414 diesel that we use to cut/bale hay on our small farm. I rebuilt the engine last winter and put in a new (aftermarket) aluminum radiator. The old shroud wouldnt fit so we ran it without it last summer and the tractor did great ran mostly between cold and just...

    Rear main seal

Im only repeating what Ive researched tonight. I just want to know if its something Im going to be tearing back apart. Thats why Im pretty sure Ill just go buy from the dealer. I see your point though about not being on the oil side.

    Rear main seal

I read that the little grooves on a directional seal are like threads on a bolt and will carry oil in one direction. So if used in the wrong direction it would try to pull oil through the seal. Its all new to me as of tonight.

    Rear main seal

Thank you all for the replies. I talked to Steiner and didn't really get any answers other than it shows a serial number break on the bd154 engine and that my engine serial number falls below the specs for this seal. Their spec says serial number 26077 and up. My engine serial number is 23512...

    Rear main seal

I would think Steiner wouldnt sell a directional seal. My tractor cant be the only one that has a crank that turns this direction. Lol

    Rear main seal

I have the tractor already split to do the clutch and the seal is falling apart.
