    PTO generator

I've seen many sell - usually in the $1000 to $2000 range. Month ago I was at a well attending auction where the owner (who had well kept equipment assured the crowd the Winco 33K PTO generator worked fine. I brought it hone for $240. Brought it home and it worked fine.

    Gooseneck hitch

I am not overly familiar with them. I bought a 1992 F250 with a gooseneck hitch in the bed. The frame appeared professionally built and had 4 bolts holding it down. After owning it a while I found the the frame was only bolted to the cross members on the factory bed, it was not bolted...

    Farmall C engine repair

Agreed. If this were 1955 and this thing was still a front line tractor seeing hundreds of hours a year replace all 4 and do it right. I would easily go with the over bore on one cylinder and call it good. That single overbore piston isn't going to throw the engine out of balance near as...

    Hydraulic oil

This is a case where the cheap 303 oil will do nicely. No need for anything more expensive.

    1992 F250 Fuel Tank replacement

How do you reduce the hose size to fit the smaller valve outlet?

    1992 F250 Fuel Tank replacement

Thanks! That gave me starting point. The part is NLA but I was able to find the grommit so I can reuse the old one.

    1992 F250 Fuel Tank replacement

1992 F250 with a 5.8 engine and 5 speed. Saw the same set up on a 1992 F150 in the junk yard.

    1992 F250 Fuel Tank replacement

I had the bed pulled off and decided to replace the rear fuel tank that had not worked in years. New tank, new fuel pump and new breather. The original breather had two ports one for a return hose for fuel(?) and a second that vented above the rear axle. I can't find a replacement...

    870 brakes?

I am looking at an 870 case coming up for auction. The owner says if you bleed the brakes they work, but if the tractor sits for a week it loses fluid and the brakes fail. This is on a 1975 diesel with a powershift. What do you think it would take to fix this correctly?

    282D - self removing lifters

Ever had this happen? We pulled the head on the 706 and was reinstalling it after having it resurfaced. Dropped the push rods in and one was massively out of spec. It would have taken almost a half inch of adjustment to set the gap correctly while the rest of the rocker arms only needed...

    hydraulic fluid for 706

It looks like it MIGHT be MS1209, the picture shows MS1205, MS1206, M1207, but then went on to the next line and it isn't in the picture. Tractor Supply has Traveller Premium Hydraulic Oil ISO 46, that I would use in a 706 if I was really trying to save money. I did use Hytran in my 706 from...

Where do you get the good head gasket kit for a 282 diesel engine?

    303 fluid in WD

But the 303 cheap oil sold now doesn't meet the old 303 John Deere spec - its pretty much straight 10W (20w?) non detergent oil - and its not very clean at that. Ever see the bottom on a 5 gallon bucket of the stuff? You don't want what has settled out of that oil to the bottom of the bucket...
