    Farmall Front Rim Identification

Does anyone happen to know the details on this type of front rim? As you can see the mounting loops are unique compared to others. One is rusted through and Id like to find an identical replacement. Its on an H with 16 tires, but the true rim diameter is over 17. Any idea what these might...

    New Tires- What's Best?

Hello, I'm finally to the point in my restoration where I'm starting to seek out new tires. What's everyone using for new antique tractor tires? Seems the good old names like Goodyear and Firestone no longer make the old 45 degree tread pattern. I've found some, which are odd brands and...

    PTO O-Ring

Thanks Millwright. I did see that post, but the alternative part number (358208R1) seems to be for a round o-ring that is about 3.5 in diameter, and I don't think it will work. Might be worth a shot if all else fails. Not having any luck sourcing one anywhere..

    PTO O-Ring

I've can't seem to find any matches out there for my wore-out PTO O-ring from a '41 H. The IH part number is 58419D and seems to have been discontinued with all stock depleted. I sourced a round o-ring hat was close, but it just won't fit into the rear end. The original is actually a rectangle...

    Farmall H Rear Main Seal

Thanks Chris. I did pull the pan and actually had to remove the plate to get to the plugs in there- holes didn’t line up exactly with the block. I handmade a new paper gasket for the plate and hopefully the cork oil pan gasket will be ok to reuse. Appreciate the advice!

    Farmall H Rear Main Seal

Well, I just buttoned up a total engine overhaul and finally realized what the two little rubber plugs were that came in the gasket set. Looks like they belong to one of the plates at the rear main seal (IH part# 25093DA). Since the block went in to the machine shop, the old plugs aren’t in...

    Non-pressurized Radiator Woes

One would hope, but I m not so sure. He didn t even want to repair the leaks. Also it was just about at dirty as when I took it in, so honestly I m not even sure it was tested. Not a guy I ve ever used before but the only one around that will look at radiators.

    Non-pressurized Radiator Woes

I have a 1941 Farmall H with an original unpressurized radiator. I m in the process of a full split restoration and have already rebuilt the water pump and thermostat. Because removing the radiator was such a pain I took it to a local shop to have it tested before reinstalling. The owner of...

    Best Engine Overhaul Kit

Thank you! I will definitely ask them for some suggestions as well, but I wanted to at least go in with some knowledge beforehand. It is a machine shop attached to an automotive parts store, so I m sure they could provide something in the way of parts I need.

    Best Engine Overhaul Kit

Appreciate the advice, but YES, the block, head, crank, cam and rods have all been dropped off at my machine shop for a full inspection. Trying to do all of this right the first time!

    Best Engine Overhaul Kit

Thought I d ask what everyone has been using and satisfied with in recent years in terms of overhaul kits. My H block is completely stripped and ready for new innards. Which kit comes best recommended? I ve seen some from Tisco, Abilene Machine, Reliance and other unbranded kits. Seems like the...
