    TO-30 Front shaft

I removed the loader from our TO-30. Now I need to take this front shaft off. It looks like a splined shaft that bolts into the main pulley. Do I just take the bolts out of the pulley, then will the shaft come out?? Thanks

    51 B

Was going to fire up the B for a drive yesterday. Checked coolant and it was low, so added 2 quarts - then noticed it leaking out underneath the block somewhere??.....didn't have time to investigate, but not a good sign!! Will have to check it out, and then might be asking for some help.

    TO-30

Here is a picture of our TO-30 after a long power washing session. It sat for 15+ years, but is now running again!! We might sell the loader. Any ideas what it would be worth? Thanks.

    TO-30

Had a friend help get the old TO-30 running again - it had sat for 15 years. It always had a loader, and a blade on it, but we may take that off. So, now looking for a drawbar. What can be mounted on there? We have a bar for the 3 point arms - but I'm not a fan of that. What else works...

    4440 head gasket

My 4440 is seeping a little antifreeze near the front of the head gasket. It does not look like its out of the water pump, but the head. The tractor has 6,300 hours on it, and I'm pretty sure its never been touched. I bought it with 4,900 hours from the original owner. Does this mean new...

    4440 dead batteries

A battery update. I charged them overnight, then let them sit a day (not connected) and checked with a load tester. One was dead, the other not much better - so I put 2 new ones in. The tractor fired right up and seems fine. The only possible issue now is the gage in the cab reads that they...

    4440 dead batteries

Been pulling in loads of beans with the 4440 for several days. Today, it just clicks - batteries dead. I don't think we left anything on overnight? The batteries are 3 years old. They have water in them. Any ideas on why, or what to check? Thanks

    4440 oil leak

I noticed an oil leak just in front of the cab. I need to clean it up and see what it is. Is there an oil line that runs there next to the air cleaner? As you sit in the seat, this is on the right side.

    4440

I'm the second owner - its got 6,200 hours on it. I bought it when it had 4,900 on it - so I am guessing that it hasn't been touched. I don't think it has ever been worked to death. Its in pretty good shape for a 35 year old tractor!

    4440

I noticed a very small seep of moisture around the head gasket on my 4440 the other day. Oil is still fine. Should I be concerned? Thanks

    more 4020 gas

Still trying to get the 4020 gas to run better. At this point - I'm fairly certain that its a fuel issue. I took the line off to the carb and turned the engine over - the pump is ok as there was good flow there. The screen in the line at the carb was not very good. I am going to get a new...

    4020 gas

If I would change this over to electronic ignition - would it be a better starter? and also not foul plugs? The main problem we have with this tractor now is that it sits. When we ground feed every day and worked it a bit, it started and ran fine. Now it sits all winter, and really only is...

    4020 gas

Adjusting valves is likely over my head - have never attempted before. So I hope to help it enough with new plugs, and maybe new points.

    4020 gas

Unfortunately (for me) I am a novice mechanic, so I thought I would start with the plugs - I will drain the carb a couple times. This just has regular points. Is there a way to check the plug wires? Maybe pull them off one at a time to find the one that misses? The gas is from last summer -...
