    JD 420W hydraulic

OK thanks, yeah thats what I did I just tapped into the line from the pump. It works but not at the same time as the 3PH. Just seems like there should be a better way. I may have to live with the idea that that’s just the way it is.

    JD 420W hydraulic

I have a question, I have a JD model 35 loader which I have mounted to a JD 420W. I am having trouble getting it to work with the 3 point. I think I probably have the hydraulic lines in the wrong place. Does anyone have a clear drawing or picture of which line goes where, or would the model 35...

    Looking for common sense vehicle

You'r right! pretty hard to keep up to the repairs and rust on an old one for everyday use. My most common sense vehicle was a 66 GMC with a 250 six and 4 speed. Rust finally ended it's life, there is nothing on the market today that compares to it.

    Looking for common sense vehicle

A common sense vehicle hasn"t been made in many, many, many years. Wouldn"t we all love to go back to the days of standard transmissions, rubber floor mats, roll up windows, head room, bench seats. etc. Unless you buy something built before the mid 60"s their is no such thing as a common sense...

    Too many tools

I can understand the memory part. You know it"s bad when you go buy a tool for a job, and use it, only to discover you already had the required tool.

    needing a shift fork

You might try Novak conversions in logan Utah. They specialize in Jeep conversions and that particular transmission is popular with rock crawlers. They might have some parts lying around. Having said that, cant you find something at a wrecking yard? That was the best transmission ever built, and...

    stockton wheels

Does anyone know what has happened to stockton wheels, I need to get some wheels made and not getting much response from them. Who else specializes in making wheels?

    Throttle

Most older trucks have a hand throttle. My jeep has one with notches, each notch is supposed to represent 100 RPM, for PTO use. I use the hand throttle on my pickup for warming up when cold. I wouldn't use it as a cruise control, I have used it in a tight quarters on a steep hill, with one foot...

    9500 gmc winter front

I dont know where you would buy a ready made one. When I was trucking many years ago, it was common practice to go to a tent and awning place and have one built.

    another torque question

OK thanks, I can see that because your almost back to the same length.

    another torque question

I have what I believe is commonly called a torque adapter. It is a 9/16 box end with a short handle and 1/2 drive on the other end. It is used to torque heads on Harley Davidson. The distance from the box end to the drive is 2 inches. Is there a standard formula to get the right amount of torque...

1963 international loadstar 18 foot box truck

I used to work for national trailer convoy hualing mobile homes, ect. the IH loadstar was probably the most popular truck in that business. They were good, but that was back in the mid 60"s when all medium duty trucks were gas powered. Something like you want to do, on a limited basis, may be...

    New Trucks for 1959

It makes me sad that in 59 you could buy a lot of nice things, but I didnt have 2 cents to rub together. Now after a lifetime of working I could buy any truck on the market, only thing is they dont make nice trucks anymore. Or anything else for that matter.

    Diamond T pickup on ebay

I saw one sitting at the store at warm springs Oregon back in the mid 50s. Pretty neat rig. But like everything else that is well built, is now a thing of the past.
