    Tractor tires by design

A while back there was a post about the industral tires on a lot of smaller mfwd tractors. It was said that they lose traction easier on hills and snow and ice. I have also read in the past that on hillside combines they use simular to turf tires. Would these also be better traction on a tractor...

    Ford TW35

Just took delivery of a 1989 Ford tw35 mark 11. Tractor has issue with warning lights/oil pressure despite having been told tractor was in good mechanical condition. I think I could have a serious problem or it could just be a problem with electronics/electrics. Engine starts and runs fine (ive...

    5hp Briggs Quantam woes

i would hook a compression gauge up to it, make sure the vavles are timed right with the crank. Also check the magnet on the flywheel, it should line up with the magneto when the piston is at tdc on the compression stroke.

K181 ticking and JD 110 variator help!!

Well guys, I got my JD 110 with loader. I guess to most people I got a decent deal, but to me I got ripped. With a few good days of working on her, she'll be up to snuff. One day I'll make a post of what was all wrong and how I fixed it. Anyways, on to my questions. First is the engine...

    Starter problem on Kohler

jerry f, Not sur eof your config, but if the starter engages teeth on the flywheel, and its freespinning, if the flywheel is turning, but the engine isn't turning over, you may have sheared a key off the flywheel. Kinda unlikley cause even without keys, flywheels usually have a tapaered shaft...

    Bought me a new JD 110 =)

Bought this this morning... (refer to link below) I plan to keep the majors on my 110, like engine, front axle, spindles, and so on and sell the rest. I paid a little less then the aite says, but I think I got a good deal. Looks like a good little tractor. Better then me trying to rig up a...

Will this Hold up, or am I totally insane!!

i have never had trouble either. The one half sheave is 44.95, and it has to be orders, so they charge another $4 for shipping. The bearing/hub assembly is 91$. If you bought the whole thing new, you'd have probably $200 wrapped up in it. I am currently looking for a used one. I really had...

Will this Hold up, or am I totally insane!!

guys, I'm not an idiot, I know the 2 halves unscrew from the hub. I am talking about getting the bearing shaft out of the bearings and arm. I'm on the hunt for a new pulley halve. JD is flippin ridiculous, they want $45 for a new half of a pulley. I kinda figured it wouldnt work. I dropped...

Will this Hold up, or am I totally insane!!

Well, guys, I was trying to press out the bearing shaft on the variator for my 110 JD. The bearings are in good shape, but they are starting to get dry, so I wanted to clean and lube them. First I have to say that JD pressing this damn thing together is BS. Well The 20ton press did a number...

    Weather maybe????

some of us enjoy hearing about peoples search for a tractor. I sure do and know the feeling. Not all of us have money dropping out of our butts and can take chances on a tractor that is too questionable. I'd suggest if you dont like hearing about it, then dont click on his posts. He has...
