    4020d gear reduction starter

    I'd stick with the nippin denso starters. The are rebuildable and almost bullet proof. The gear reductiosn are nice, but on some do require a different intake and pipe. I can get new or reman starters, alternators. Email is good. Brad

    4010 Dual Hydraulics

    There are several salvage yards that have the valve, lever, lines, couplers. You can also look on ebay for an approx cost, some yards may be cheaper. They do repro the lines now, or one can run hoses back to the coupler. As far as #"s it"d be next to impossible, it wasn"t listed on the tag...

    the 318's has either B43G ot the later ones had a P218. IF there's no compression, either the valve is stuck, valve seat is loose or rod broke. Pull the head off and you should be bale to tell Brad

    have a '71 4020 powershift for sale, overall a nice tractor. As near as I can tell it came from the factory with 18.4-38 rear rubber and the 4320 style fenders. Dad thinks it'll sell better with the regualar fender and either 16.9-38 or 18.4 34 on it. What are other opinions on the larger rubber...

    JD 4230 low profiles

    Does anyone have any other info about the 4230 low profiles other than waht was in green magaizne? I've found 2 other ones that are factory low profiles, yet the #'s dont' show up in Green magazine. Is it correct that all LP had the underslung exhaust

    4320 overhaul

    also don't have them just grind the valves, if they do grind or replces valves and or seats, have then replane the head to get the correct spec, makes a huge difference on starting when cold out

    3020 slow to rev and low power

    check where the return line hooks to the pump. If it gets plugged it will act like you described. Loosen the line at the pump (the return line) and see if it works better Brad
