    Ok, That explains it. The zerk was covered in a thick coat of paint and hadn't been used in years. Scraped it clean and greased it, now it leaks. I will look for a cap or replace it. Thanks

    Have a water pump on my M that was leaking anti freeze out of the front of the water pump. Removed pump and dug out what was left of old packing, installed new packing and put some grease in the zerks. Now have anti freeze coming out of the bottom grease zerk. Never leaked from this zerk...

    Thanks, Plan on pulling the motor this weekend and will get a good look at the rest of it. Plan on welding a fitting in the valve cover to take care of the breather tube.
