    there is a filler plug located on the rightside of the PTO housing directly forward of the right sway block and support. Use the smae Hy Gard oil and fill to the top.

    There are large fill and drain plugs at the top and bottom on each fianl drive housing behind the sway blocks. The top one is for adding fluid. You add until it begins to come out.     On the back of the axle there are covers for the each final drive gears. Towards the top of the housing there is a large filler plug for final drive lubrication as Tx Jim shows. Per the manual, these are separate from the main trasnmission and require about 1 gallon of oil per side. HTH

    John Deere Styled B Hood ID

    B-Maniac, I have a 1944 wartime B that will need a hood. Is there a difference in wartime hoods because of pressurized cooling systems and steel radiators? Are the rad cap holes a different size for these tractors vs. other early or mid styled B's? Thanks, Gordon
