    1655 oliver clutch

I currently used a 1600 flywheel which had holes already for the 1650 pressure plate and let me bolt on a 12 in clutch There are holes however where the disc runs. Are those holes a problem? Seems like the disc has a lot of outer edge wear.

    1655 oliver clutch

I am wanting to upgrade to a 12 inch clutch in my 1600 and would like to know what flyweel is used? The casting number would also help. Thanks

    1550

Thanks to all. I guess we are going to try a used char-lynne unit. You loose the tele but I guess that is ok. The tilt is more important.

    1550

1550 steering motor trouble. Does anyone know who rebuilds or has an exchange service that is reliable. The problem is the common having to continually turn the steering wheel to continue on a straight course. Thanks

    550 oliver seat

Several years ago I purchased a seat spring (rubber original style) for my 550 Oliver on ebay. Almost immediately the spring lost the action and I was back to no suspension. I don t want to repeat buying another bad replacement for my 550 that I use frequently. I bought a 660 set years ago from...

    550 PTO shaft bearing

Thanks. Your saying the spring pin that holds the coupling to the output shaft needs to be a gennie Agco? I know about the set screw in the PTO basket that must be removed. If the PTO coupling and the output and drive shaft are removed, the rear most ball bearing cannot be removed? Remove snap...

    550 PTO shaft bearing

I need to replace the "O" ring on the PTO shaft to coupling. I read here that by removing the hydraulic unit (top of trans) that the coupling pin can be removed and the output shaft and coupling pulled out to get at the "O" ring. I have already changed the bearing retainer seal and added a...

    JDB electric start

I knew there were some home style engineers out there. I hate to think we might be losing some of that talent based on some of the comments here. Thanks and I will share this with my friend.

    JDB electric start

Yes..if it was my tractor. It is a Pal s and I agreed to help. Heck I m not even a JD lover and my cure would be to replace the B with an Oliver. Seriously I would still think an ingenious chap would have already done the conversion. If you do a google of F12 and hand made electric starter, you...

Tractor and parts buyers watch out for Ron Hunter Puyallup, WA 98373. Thought I was wise to all of the tricks but he got me for 100 bucks.

    60 oliver

Ollie it s like art. Anyhow just off with Korves and although no picture is available, the fello was very knowledgeable and described the harness. Individual wires are cloth covered and the terminal ends insulated with a rubber tube like original. They are sent out as an "open account" meaning...

    60 oliver

Thanks OllieJunkie. I have done several rewires on old cars and a few tractors so I m initiated. It is kinda fun especially if you have the schematic and a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood. With the older style cloth woven wire you almost get a sense of art. It is available on ebay in any length. Biggest...
