    How to remove rubber bushings on VAC-14 Easy Ride Seat

    The center of the bushings seize on the bars. They have to be driven out. We had to heat ours to rebuild it recently. Once the pins are out, there is nothing else holding them. Dad and I argued about how they went back together.

    Go to Yahoo group about Case garden tractors. It is the greatest source of information on the internet for Case garden tractors. They have downloads available of parts manuals for most models, pics of even the most rare models, and an endless source of info from the members.

    Sugestions/recommendations for next CASE Tractor project

    I mowed for years with a VAI rear mount 6" Woods finish mower, but it had a 300 engine. I used my dad 430 with a 6" Landpride years later. Loved the 430. It had a Charlyn power steering unit, triple range transmission and I really liked the hand clutch.

    Crack in block

    I have never seen the bottom cracked, but nearly half the VAC's I have been in had cracks at the top between the sleeves. We cut a small notch in them and epoxy them and have never had a problem with one. With the crack at the bottom, it shouldn't be any different. If I understand where you...

    You HAVE GOT to see this!

    I have seen them do this at the local railyard to unload coal into dump trucks. I just watch in awe each time I see it. The guys I work with just didn't understand my fascination until they saw the guy drive it up there for themselves. I really believe coming down is the hard part.

    Value of Case 130 Lawn Tractor

    Wayne, if your tractor runs good and has a good hydraulic pump on it, it is probably worth $400-$700. The 130 is not quite as popular as the big wheel version of the 180. Put your tractor on ebay and let the collectors tell you what its worth.

    1948 case vac distributor

    The 311B we had used an Autolite and we swapped it with a Delco Remy from a 430. I don't recall what dad had to do to it. If you can find one for a 430, look it over and see what you think. If it works in the VAC let me know, I may do that with one I am having problems with.

    It is difficult to get to the hydraulic lines where they connect to the pump. Some models incorporated a removable plate under the dash to assist in access to the pump.     Case 311-b clutch quesstion

    The 430 and 530 used a wider bolt pattern on top where the back of the engine bolted to the torque tube allowing for a larger diameter flywheel. I don"t think the 311B and the 430 will interchange, so I know the 530 won"t.

    VAC

    No more than 28 staying with overbore pistons and with stock crank. Thats without any modifications to the block. That is where we think we are going to be on our stock 3000#- 3500# puller. Any other opinions?

    Need used engine parts from 159!

    I need a used rod, piston and sleeve from a 159 Gas Case engine. It doesn"t need to be in good shape, I am using it for measuring. If you have something I can use let me know. I would prefer it all from one person if possible.

    Cleaning fuel tank

    I have cleaned a lot of these and have had to weld up some holes in the past. I have always had a lot of luck with a very old fashioned approach. I put about six hand fulls of 1 1/2 clean gavel in the tank, put on the lid and let my kids roll the tank around in the yard for about 30 mins. I...
