    1855 three point

Definitely tighten that top link bracket up. But, regarding your lifting problem, is the draft control linkage messed up somehow? Spring broke or something bent? If the control lever moves all the way whether the 3point goes all the way up or not, that's the only other thing that controls...

Oliver 1855 - What to look for?

12pt rod bolts would indicate the wrist pin bushings have also been upgraded, but not guaranteed, and that is a crucial upgrade to all 310s. It would also be beneficial if the engine has either a built-in oil cooler ("oil cooler block" / "1955 block"), or if an aftermarket one has been added...

    Replacement Starter experiences

I'm not a betting man, but I'd throw down a dollar that a starter off a 94+ Dodge/Ram with 5.9L Cummins fits most Olivers.

    Been A Long Time Since

Hey, I had that happen once... No, Just kidding. I never have! lol! That really is something worth noting! Wonder how many people in the world have no idea what a big deal this is? Kinda funny. Congrats on your good luck and/or backing skill!

    How many 1755's built?

Can't say for numbers, but I've had both 1755 diesel and 1655 diesel. Loved them both. If you don't need the horse power and/or weight, the 1655 is a very nimble and capable tractor, and has the over/under Hydraul-Shift like the 1755. However, if you use hydraulics a lot (like on a loader)...

    HydraPower Controls

There's a guy in TN who has (had?) a 1950GM that he put a pedal on for the HydraulShift (he swapped). It worked pretty slick for him.

first (real) tractor - 1650 Oliver

1650 was my first "real" tractor as well! I also had a loader on mine. Do yourself a favor and spend the time and money plumbing the loader into an external spool valve (with float) hooked to the tractor's Power Beyond. I know I've got a picture somewhere how to hook it up, but you can find...

    Fan Belt

It's really too bad since some models are kind of hard to find if it's your first time. Not sure if I like the updated site as much, but I'm generally averse to change anyway lol!

    Fan Belt

Yeah, I've never gotten links directly to a model to work, scootergmc. Go to https://na.apb.agcocorp.com/sso/guest and search for model and there's some options there, but it'll give OEM numbers you can cross too

Maibach Tractor did. This post is kind of old, but might give them a call. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2229229006/permalink/10155144971614007/

Oliver 1650 and 1755 - can one of the scv's be set to float?

1755 would have later closed-center hydraulics. There was an optional float spool valve for them you can install on the inside-most position of the stack. They're fairly hard to come buy. I happen to have one on the shelf, but don't know if I want to part with it. Other option would be to...

    1855 hydraulics get hot

What pressure is it set at? You have a 3000psi gauge?

    1855 hydraulic tank

https://youtu.be/dyfu-rhqJAA Hydraulic reservoir/tank is the whole top cast iron part from the main transmission housing on up. Kind of a process to get it off. However, you may be able to see how dirty it is by removing just the top cover off, where the operator's seat would attach. If it...

    Fuel Leaking

Probably had fender tanks and it's plumbed to a Tee on the tank that is also hooked to the return from the injection pump.
