    574/674 200 Gas needs manifold

    One more question. I need the torque and tightening sequence for the manifold bolts. I get really nervous around cast iron. I assume you tighten in steps from the center out just like the head, but it never hurts to ask the experts.

    Thanks Cliff, That's what I was looking for. I am about ready to start troubleshooting and wanted to be sure the parts were available before I dug in. Do you know if that $182.67 is the retail or wholesale price. Probably double that from the dealer if it's wholesale.

    Not really sure, but I'm am pretty sure at least one valve is hanging up until the engine gets really warm. Loudly clicking from the valve cover area. I would say it was a bad hydraulic lifter only it doesn't have hydraulic lifters. The clicking goes away after it warms up, but it still doesn't...

    Does anyone know of a good source for a valve kit. Valves, Guides, Springs, clips and gaskets. The dealer wants over $500 just for the parts (Aftermarket not IH) and I was hoping to spend a little less than that. IH 674 with C200 gas engine

    I think the engine is a model 200. Not sure though. what I'm curious about is how to determine which distributor I have so I can order a solid state ignition upgrade. Also, does anyone have any suggestions on suppliers for these kits?
