Won't start but not starter problem

The starter solonid draws about 17 amps, and the safty circuit has any resistance in it they wont work. Make sure the transimssion is in neutral and use a jumper wire to jump form the starter batt (big) post to the solonid. If that startes it you can rig a 12 volt relay and still have all the...

    1949 WF No oil pressure

I had one come in without oil pressure and less than 100 hrs on rebuild, rocker arms destroyed. Cam bearing installed wrong, Stuck a drill bit through the gallery hole, drilled a hole in bearing. I don't really recomend that, but it's been running nearly 10 years now. John

    Electric wheelchair

I have post polio syndrome and it may come to a chair like that, but it's human nature to fight it, it feels like surrendering. Your friend may be like me, just not ready yet. I hope he realizes you were trying to do the best. He may think it through and change his mind. John

    8210

Good news I think? The inside ring where the raidator caps seals against is bent down a little, someone may have had a funnel or something against it. Thanks for your help and ideas. John

A pinhole in a sleeve is a possibility, it is bored .040 over. I wondered if a pinhole could be high enough, and small enoughnot to show up in the oil or exaust. It's really a sweet tractor and he takes excellent care of it.It's beem about 300 hrs since it started, and is getting worse I think...

We have a 8210 Ford with a 401 engine, about 1000 hrs on a rebuild, pump and injectors rebuilt. After runing about an hour with load it begins heating up espically if the ac is on. It appears to be loosing coolant, causing it to heat. Runs great no white smoke,no water in the oil, raidator...

    Question for sparktrician !!

I havent seen this mentioned recently. Here in Oklahoma there are some meters, called CT meters which measure the watts with a coil around the conductors. With a CT meter, pulling the meter does not disconect the electric. Also backfeeding onto a line, besides being very dangerous, will also...

Propane Gas Line (In a Building)

In the old days gas wasn't near as good as it is today. It was a mixture of whatever came out of the wellhead, drip gas, some butane, propane, methane ect. There was usually a "drip Loop" to catch the liquids. Now gas is closely regulated and tested. Before scent was added many fires and...

    Outdoor sewer pump experience?

We have about 20 sewage syestems, from 1/2 hp to 10 hp, most being dual pump syestems. The non grinder solids pump is much simpler, and less maintence, adjusting cutters etc. The cutters are quite expensive, and they do wear. When they are worn anything will snag on them and lock the pump up. We...
