    TRUTEST socket

I haven't heard the name for a long time. If you can find a dealer they may warranty it...If not you may have to replace with new. I'm one of those buy American guys, Craftsman, Snap-on, S-K, sometimes Kolbalt at Lowes, read the labels for origen. Best of luck.

    regulating compressed air line pressures

At work we have plant supplied compressed air lines. We have a few large pressure regulators, that feed smaller lines that go to individual equipment and air nozzles for blowing stuff off. Each piece of equipment and air nozzle has it"s own smaller regulator. They want me to label all the regs...

HS Precision using endorsement from Vicki Weavers killer

""The guy who murdered Randy Weaver's wife while she held her child, Lon Horiuchi, has an endorsement on the back page of HS Precision's new rifle catalog. Too bad they can't get John Wilks Booth, James Earl Ray, and Lee Harvey Oswald endorsements too...

    tiller

Like said in another reply, the compression release that lowers compression pressures at low rpm will invalidate your compression test. It may sound low at 70 psi, but I bet it will run fine as is neglecting any other problems. A quick and easy test of compression for Briggs and stratton engines...

    Stanley vs. Crescent socket sets?

greygoat said "It bothers me that Stanley closed their U.S. factory, laid off 2000 workers, and moved production to China.. I don't know about the quality, but i'll boycott them! " This says it all for me. F--- stanley tools.

    Echo or McCulloch chainsaw

ECHO. A long time ago, McCulloch was a good American made brand. They went under, sold the rights to the brand name and are now made off-shore. Just a disposable crap saw now with no relation to the original company. Echo is a real brand, though Japanese owned, they are good quality machines.

Chicago Electric Power Tools . are they any good?

Sorry, Chicago electric are the embodiment of cheap chinese made crap. I have no love for Harbor Frieght, being a large importer of said chinese goods. The Craftsman equivelents are probably only marginally better, also being from the orient.

    Master locks...I'm disappointed

Masterlock is now (to my knowledge) manufacturing every lock they have in either Mexico or China. There used to be a company called American Lock that was still made in the US, but Masterlock bought them out and they are now being made in Mexico too. There is ONE American made padlock that I...

    briggs stratton 5hp

This is more an issue on the smaller 3.5hp vertical crank lawnmower engines, but thought I would mention it. The gas tanks will often warp, and the diaphram no longer forms a good seal between it and the carb base because of it. A tell tale sign is gas leaking out at the diaphram. I have yet to...

    OT Battery

Here in the states we can have the battery load tested at an auto parts store, you probably have the same test available to you there. It is a basic test of whether the battery is good or bad. A Bad batteyry can be charged, but still be unable to deliver current. The test requires the battery be...

    Chainsaw bar

Bars can be "dressed" when they develop that kind of wear. Basically it just amounts to filing it true again. A saw shop can do it, comes down to which is cheaper, having it dressed, or buying new.

How does a 2 stroke get lubrication?

the oil in the fuel-oil mix deposits on the metal surfaces in the crankcase, forming a coat of oil film that keeps the parts lubed.
