    1020 Hydraulic System

    My buddy went to look at a Deere 1020 today with a bucket loader and noticed the 3 point hitch was leaking from the pump. Is the loader also operated from the 3 point pump or are there 2 separate pumps. If there is only one is it a big deal to rebuild or replace? Thanks! Greg

    John Deere 40 throttle linkage spring

    I meant that the lever should not simply flop down as if it was full throttle, it should stay in any position. Sorry if I was unclear about the problem! This only happens when the tractor is not running as well. When it's running I have no problems with the throttle. Thank you for the part...

    Going to 8 volt Battery for M

    Not sure how similar the charging systems are between the M and 40 however I just recently converted my 40 to 12V and I would highly recommend!

    The spring connecting the throttle/ governor linkage is worn out and therefore the throttle control lever moves loosely before start up. There should be tension on that lever at all times which is not the case with mine. I haven't been able to find a matching spring in any hardware or tractor...

    I am looking at getting some new tires for my 40 with 11.2x24?s on the back however, I?m not sure if my front tires are 5x15 or 6x16. It?s a standard model so no tricycle and I?m assuming it would be the 6x16. Please let me know if I?m correct and some recommended tire brands!

    The alternator I ordered online from advance auto so I?m assuming it?s good? And nothing new was installed except for a new coil. I have checked the voltage while it was running and it did read 14v. Thanks to the quick responses!
