    5th of july crop report

Yesterday I had great crops for the most part, today not so much. We had a storm go though with very high winds and hail. The corn is in bad shape and the barley is flat and shredded too. Too soon to tell how bad it is yet, but there is a lot of damage.

    4th of july crop report

After a slow start things are looking pretty good again this year. We are getting rain, but just enough, we are just on the edge of dry here. I saw a report that we are 10" short for the year. But the corn looks good. This first stuff planted is a bit uneven but still looks good. It was so cold...

    G188D engine performance

The pumps have significantly difgerent settings. Have the 430 pump set to 530 specs. And check the timing, timing is very precise on those. Make sure you set it exactly how the book says.

188d in 530 bends push rods

My 530 with a 188d bends push rods on the 2nd cylinder from the front. It was like that when I got it, then bent both again. This time it broke the push rod on the valve towards the rear of the engine on that cylinder. The valve seems to be loose. I have had them adjusted to spec so they weren't...

Should be straight. Is the cylinder bolted above the plate or below? It should be above i think.

Literature---1947 J I CASE Booklet on Strip Farming

I like looking at the old stuff like that. I have a box of old magazines I bought at an auction one time that I love to go through from time to time. One of the interesting things in them is an add for refrigerators, they sold in the 40s for the same price as a basic fridge today. Of course $400...

Case 530CK diesel fuel filters and gaskets.

I haven't been able to confirm anything that fits. I was able to find one from Napa, but had to pay shipping to get it from somewhere out east and it was the last one in napa's system.

Check your sleeves, running even a short time without any water is dangerous

More likely you damaged the seal when you installed the pump. We're both seals replaced then?

What Is The Largest - Highest Hp Tractor You Put In Front Of. A Haybine?

A guy not far from me uses a case 2670 for everything. He had a 930 he used for haying but it quit on him, so now everything gets done with the 2670. 9ft haybine, new Holland side delivery rake, 24T baler, round baler and even 6 row corn planter that I've seen. Been doing it for a while now.

    Got some hay up

With some minor differences they are the same. Heston made them for case.

    Got some hay up

Does similar to a tender but doesn't spread it out. Here where we can get rain at any time this leaves the hay in a row so if it does rain there is less damage. Cuts drying time on alfalfa and clover by a day at least

    Got some hay up

Been on vacation for a while, which was just about the time I should have been cutting hay. Lol. So this is a little later than I would have liked, but not bad, just a few alfalfa blooms. Used my 830 and 555 haybine to cut. It was the first cutting on new seeding so there was some weeds, but...
