    Deere 323D? Normally caused by fuel filter plugging... Also they seem to accumulate debris at the bottom of the draw tube inside the fuel tank. Try a new filter first.

    A 401B appears at JDParts. Anything "Deere" should be there.. not sure why you couldn"t find it there. The fuel filter element is AT17387. It should come with the filter and upper and lower rubber seals as well as a small oring that fits into the inside stem. May just be one of the rubber seals...

    jd 310a hoe

    If its a new problem that wasn"t apparent before, I"m thinking you have a de-stroke solenoid on the front pump that either failed or is disconnected. It gets powered from the starter engagement wire on the starter solenoid when cranking and keeps the pump from building pressure.
