Hydralic pump seems to be putting a heavy load on motor when trying to start it like the old 4020s and you could work the steering wheel to relieve it and it would start any help appreciated thanks

If its a new problem that wasn"t apparent before, I"m thinking you have a de-stroke solenoid on the front pump that either failed or is disconnected. It gets powered from the starter engagement wire on the starter solenoid when cranking and keeps the pump from building pressure.

Any small internal leak can cause the problem. Buy a $10 destroker and you might be fine unless you've got a big leak somewhere. I wouldn't own any Deere with a closed-center pump without a destroker.
