    TO 30 hyd. pump

TO35/MF35 has a boot on the top 3pt link draft spring that is the same shifter boot that goes bad and leaks too. TO30 may use a different seal and exposed spring like on Ford Ns. Been a while since I was at the old farm 30. .

    Hyd/rear end oil ?

. 80/90 is great for summer, but I find it's too thick below 20degF that I see. So my snow blade tractor gets a little 80/90 and the remainder 5w20 Synthetic. There are some brass shims in the trans so a concern and reason for oil choices where some of the high detergent additive oils may...

    TO-35 dual clutch

. Some finicky clearance through the adjustment port is possible. I suspect YouTube channel Bundy Bears has a video on doing the adjustment. .

    Ferguson engine blocks

. The TO30 engines had leak/crack problems of coolant getting into the oil. To35 are generally ok. Bell housings are different so it's easy to tell apart, or engine model tag above the coil. .

    TO20 with a Midwestern Davis 100 Loader

. One note is with heavy use, I remember a suggestion of changing tractor hydraulic oil every six months, so make that change for winter vs summer viscosity. And if it's the tractor hydraulics there are brass spacers where some modern detergent oils can corrode. All that said, I used 1/3 80/90...

    MF 231

. See the YouTube channel "Bundy Bears" an nice knowledgeable Australian has a whole series on the trans disassembly of a MF65 that is the same as you have. I used that to rebuild my 55 TO35, and I have a 58 MF35 that makes a tunk tunk tunk noise in first gear and reverse so I'll be back.

    Electronic ignition tea20

. I found all my inconsistent starting is the switch. I bought several new replacements and all quickly quit working reliably. I upgraded to a "Boat Switch" on two tractors they are very reliable now. I have only TO-35s .

    TO30 3pt

. Notes: Don't stick anything inside the inspection ports when the tractor is running. Lift dropping after tractor is off is the plunger o-ring is worn out. For what I use my 35 for it's not a worry. Get an overrunning clutch module for the PTO shaft if you are brush hogging. With no live...

    Ferguson Jack help

. The one we had about the old farm had big Y brackets at the ends to cradle the rear axles. Looks like this one connects to the lift arm mounts. .

    Help me value a TO35

. To35 has 3pt and live PTO. They are worth more than the typical Ford n-series stuck in a shed. If it truly ran a year ago it likely only needs a tune up. The generator might just need to hit the magic rpm to turn on. If it's still wired 6v that is most likely the problem. I got surprised...

    Amateur Hour: TO-30 splitting

. On my TO-35 I used a harbor freight moving dolly (4 caster setup) with 4x4 wood blocks stacked to maintain height and rolled the front back. When going back together, either buy the clutch spline alignment tool or I made a 3d print of one I modeled in CAD (freeCAD.org). .
