    I have an old running gear that I want to make in to a hay rack. I want to make sure it can handle the weight for the size I build. It was once a steel wheel gear.     D17 Decals and gas gauge

    I did a quick search and found that external_link has the decals for your tractor. I think many other sites have them also. Just do an internet search for D17 decals. As long as you know which ones you need to get you should be able to find them. Good luck.

    I have a post asking about the decals on page three right now. D15Dan gave the following "it depends on the SN. If yours is prior to #24001 then you have the correct decals." He is refering to the silver decal prior to 24001. Black lettering on White background after that serial number.

    My D17 decals look different than any I have seen. It is a 1958 model that has been repainted. The "D17" is an oval sticker and the "Allis Chalmers" is white lettering instead of the black lettering on a white background. Were the 1958 decals different or did someone put some odd ball...

    Thanks for the link Dave. I did find that the bale chute looks to be the same on all New Holland Balers. All they show is what I consider the second part of the two piece chute. Is the first portion of the chute included with another part?

    Is the baler chute on a new Holland 66 the same as on a New Holland 273? If not, what New Holland baler chutes would be interchangable with the 273?

    I know I'll get many answers but... I have a Ford NAA and just picked up an Allis D-17. I have been using 10w30 or 10w-40 in the NAA. The former owner of the D-17 used 15w-40. Can I use 14w-40 in both? I live in minnesota and use the NAA in winter. Also what about the trans, hyd and rear. I...
