    Using up old gas

    I would not run it in any engine. My neighbor drained some old gas out of a car, he then ran it in his 8n tractor. He called me the next day said that the tractor would not start. All the intake valves were stuck open in the guides.

    Lawn mower battery

    The voltage regulator went bad, I had a 12 volt generator , VR and coil. I had to buy the cables. No it burns more gas because I use it more, I know that it will start and I didn’t have to buy a 140 dollar battery and a 100 dollar Voltage regulator.

    When it was 6 volt it would foul the plugs and would not start. Even if I was using one heat range hotter plug.

    I changed my 420 JD to 12 volt, I put a 6 year old lawnmower battery in with cables with eyes on both ends. It starts right up and I don’t have to change spark plugs every 6 months. It is a 300 amp battery.

    JD 320 stuck engine

    I tried the jacked up wheel on a stuck MT, after 6 months I took the valve cover off. The valves were free. I took the starter off and put a small crowbar on the flywheel. I was able to turn the crankshaft back and forth. I put the starter back on and put a 12 volt battery in with the spark...

    Check the head for a crack. I have seen several with a crack.

    mowing wet weeds in California

    I was raking hay on a hill and when I touched the brake it started sliding. It took another tractor with a loader to get it off.

    trans hard to shift from high to low range

    I couldn’t shift between the ranges on my 66, I took the springs and detent balls out of the block. Cleaned the rust out and lubed the rails. That made it shift easier.
