    little genius plow

We had a Farmall A (44) that would regularly pull a little genius with a rope pull to the trip lever. I believe is was with 12 inch furrows but could have been 14 inch. The 100 has an extra horsepower or two from the A.

    Tractor paint

You are correct. Lacquer is not a friend to gasoline. Enamel with a bit of hardener in it is the way to go. Your local paint shop could mix some for you in a fairly large sized rattle can. Check with them.

    check front rim straightness

I had a Farmalll A, with a bit of a wobble. Used a hydraulic jack to tweak the rim with the help of a few 2x4s and a few creative press points It worked. Any competent machine shop could do the job for you. Jim Nicholson has a very good description of how to check for roundness

The Old wheelhorse still at it

That is a fine looking old wheel horse. For what you have invited in it, go for a set of brakes, or check the adjustment on yours. Brakes should work. only reason they won't is they are worn out or out of adjustment.
