    little genius plow

    You are correct. Lacquer is not a friend to gasoline. Enamel with a bit of hardener in it is the way to go. Your local paint shop could mix some for you in a fairly large sized rattle can. Check with them.

    That is a fine looking old wheel horse. For what you have invited in it, go for a set of brakes, or check the adjustment on yours. Brakes should work. only reason they won't is they are worn out or out of adjustment.
