    John Deere 1018 rotary mower

I know my dad cleared an overgrown bottom once with a 709, it cut a lot of 3 trees for sure and probably a few bigger. But he didnt just drive over them, just eased into them slowly. But that 709 took it and never broke anything in gearbox or driveline. If they have the same gear boxes in...

    John Deere 1018 rotary mower

Can anyone tell me the specs on John Deere 1018 rotary cutter? Specifically, the cutting capacity. Will it cut 2, 3 or 4 inch brush. I know 709 was rated for 4 inch, so Im m assuming theres a rating for the 1018. Thanks

    Grinder mixers

Maybe I?m barking up the wrong tree. Larryh, did you mean John Deere AND New Holland?s were bad? Or just John Deere? Horse power shouldn?t be a problem, it would be on a 1175 case.

    Grinder mixers

Looking for info on grinder mixers. I?m wanting to grind and mix hay and corn for sheep feed. TMR mixers are out of my price range for small herd. I was thinking I could use a Gehl or New Holland or other brand of grinder mixer and just feed the hay in by hand. Ration will be mostly hay. Are...

    1175 brake locking up

Left brake gradually locking up in road gear. Transmission pressure gage goes up into red when idling. Goes back to green when moving. Let it sit for few minutes releases. Drive couple hundred yards and starts locking up again. Was hot and fluid coming out boot when got to barn. Any ideas??

I didn?t mean to doubt your expertise on fb page, just hard to try and diagnose a tractor that you don?t own yet. Especially 4 hours away from home and without proper tools,or, for that matter, experience. Your response on fb definitely helped me, as now I?m going to have to renegotiate price...
