John Deere 70 crankshaft thrust washer thickness

The key on the taperlock bushing was turning the steel spacer. I just wondering what I need to go with as far as parts since it is a blend of 70 and 730 parts. I'm assuming I still needs the 70 thrusts.

John Deere 70 crankshaft thrust washer thickness

Now I really need help. The taperlock came off easy enough, the thrust retainer came off, and the outer fiber/plastic thrust washer was mangled/melted. I finally got the spacer off and the inner thrust washer was no where to be seen. The spacer has the spiral oil slinger groove cut in it and was...

John Deere 70 crankshaft thrust washer thickness

My restored JD 70D with 50 hours on it suddenly developed about an 1/8" of endplay. I am trying to determine if the thrust washer has cracked and busted or if the endplay was just shimmed incorrectly during rebuild by the previous owner. What is the thrust washer thickness of a new washer?

    8630 Injection Timing

I am looking for injection pump timing degrees and not engine location at timing degrees. Number should be around 30* but am trying to double check. If engine is at tdc then I need to know at what degree the pump is when pinned. I am in need of increasing the timing for my application. Thanks

    8630 Injection Timing

Can anyone tell me what the factory injection timing degrees are for an 8630 and an 8650 on a 619 / 10.1? Thanks

    What turbo do I have?

I bought a 400 series engine and the turbo on it is a 466772-9001R. Is this the same as a 3LM-466, a S2E, or is it smaller? Thanks

    John Bockwitz narrow front 6030

Sure looks smaller than my 5020. The pic I saw was from the 70s or 80s and the tractor is sitting on his trailer.

    John Bockwitz narrow front 6030

Tim, that is my thoughts exactly. The valve just needs to be 2 way flow. I will get 2 precision spacers machined, drill the frame rails, and bolt it on. Getting the front casting modified would probably be the most custom part unless I fab something up out of plate. Need to keep cast though to...

    John Bockwitz narrow front 6030

Does anyone know what happened to this tractor? I am looking into putting a narrow front on my 5020 and am looking for folks that have info on John's old tractor. I would assume that the steering motor/pedestal is from a 4020 with modified rails and front bolster? The modification looks simple...

??? for Jim Pollock on 5020 trans again

I like the sound of that! I will have to look deeper into that when the time comes. I am putting the hood back on it now. Put injectors, delivery valves, and and 50psi fuel supply system on yesterday and this morn. Taking it to another pull Thursday night if weather permits hopefully!

    BBJD cubic inch kits?

Thanks Jim! I know it is going to be costly when I do it so I am trying to start collecting parts now. Been trying to look for take out parts too. If I can get the exact recipe for a few motor sizes, then I will know exactly what to look for. Hard to find all that info. I read somewhere that one...

    BBJD cubic inch kits?

I have heard of 640 and 680 BBJD engines but what other combos are out there? What are the recipes for big inches? What are the bore/stroke combos? What rods are used? Who makes the overbore liner kits? My 619 has some blowby and I have never opened the engine up since I bought it used and am...

??? for Jim Pollock on 5020 trans again

If I can't find a good set when the time comes, welding them is exactly what I will do. I hope it lives like it is for a long time. There is no more farming for this tractor and I am the only that drives it now. Hopefully she will keep going.

??? for Jim Pollock on 5020 trans again

Fortunately I am not going to have to split it. It appears that somehow the reverse synchro was staying engaged. One of the shifter pawls was out of alignment and when we knocked it back in place, all was good. My linkage is bad sloppy. Shifter forks are worn badly too. Hopefully they...

    100 Years of Horsepower

Renner Stock Farms hosts 100 Years of Horsepower every off year when Half Century of Progress is not taking place. Look on YouTube for their channel. I am not affiliated with them. I just go and film the shows for my channel and I go because I am a tractor freak. My channel is The Bearded...
