NH 451 mower
A friend has a 451 with regular guards on it. He does not have the build up problem on his guards. I think maybe it is the sharp surfaces doing a better job of cutting the material. Thanks guys for all the info.- L Hud

i use mine for trimming and pasture clipping. everything is in good shape an serviceable. First time dealing with double guards. I have used 501s for years.- L Hud

NH 451 mower
i am new to a 451 with double guards. The hay does not shed off the guard as well as a regular guard. The short cuttings get caught in the guard. Is there a trick to keep this from happening. Thanks in advance. LH- L Hud

Ford 4000 SU Axle problem?
I have the same problem with a 3000. I have replaced the spindle,bushings, and bearings. It did not solve the problem. Following the thread. -

Fuel gage float
My 3600 fuel gage float has a leak and filled with gas. Is there a part # for a replacement float. -

ALT light not working
The voltage at the battery is what it should be. I replaced the VR thinking it was not grounding through it. That did not solve the problem. Is there a diode in the alt. that might be out? -

ALT light not working
The alt light on my 3910 is no longer working. It was working fine, the it stopped. It does not come on at all. I have checked the bulb and the socket. I have power to the socket but no ground. I can ground it to the battery and it will work. I apparently have lost the ground in the system some... -

3910 PTO brake housing support assy.
I am in need of a pto brake housing support assy. Where is a good source for finding one of these. The snap ring groove on mine is worn out. -

2000 pto in a 3910
Thanks guys. I was thinking they were very different. I have not pulled the one out of the 3910. This is my first one with the new rear ends. Bought it in the fall and going through it this winter. Getting ready for spring. Thanks again. This board is a wealth of info. LHud -

2000 pto in a 3910
I have a pto shaft out of a 2000. I have a 3910 with a bent pto shaft. Can I use the 2000 shaft in the 3910. They are both 8 speed trans. -

856 Oil Leak
I have a oil leak on my 856 between the oil pump and the block. This is where the oil pump bolts to the block. I have replaced the gasket two times and the leak is still there. I am sure I must be doing something wrong. Is there a required gasket thickness? Could the two gears be bottoming out...- L Hud
