I have a ? are you sure you have a vane pump just never heard of one being on a 861 ford My 861 has a piston pump. those gasket for the piston pump can be purchase for $3 ea. in some places. you might want call Kough Equip ph# 270-382-2207 they keep a lot of stock on gasket -

Steering Problem
Thanks for your help Will, clean out the reservoir found some large pieces of crud in teeth on bottom back side of gears also pulled the spindle to check lower bearing and it needs to be replaced, fill with the right oil and it will be ready to go. Thanks..Larry -

Yes I do have it jack up and the drag link is disconnected from the steering arm. Still just a wiggle of movement and that seems to be in the gear wear it self. Thanks for the pic..........Larry -

801 Ford stalled
I didn"t see any metal in the oil or on the oil stick. Engine has 48# oil pressure both cold and hot. I don’t know the exact temp but I know as quickly as it warms up (about 15-20 Min.)I said it makes a (grind noise in my first post) but I think its more of a squeeze noise and stop. I did not... -

Yes I did re-torque the bolts after a very good warm up and I also had the head flatened while I had it off, its was off 15 thousand. I will do the pressure test. THANKS -

I have a 851 ford that has been change over to a 12V with a three wire Alt. The bat. will not stay up very long. Put on new amp. gauge, new wire from hot post on Alt. to amp. gauge and on to hot side of bat. New wire from #2 post of Alt. to hot post of Alt. New wire from Alt. #1 post to idiot... -

Dan I have Jub w/134, 641 w/134, 861 w/172, 900 w/172 and they all have the tube proturdeing out of the block 5/8 inch. Your tube should have a bead on it to stop the tube from going to far into the block. The 134 engine should hold 5 qt for both engine and filter.
