    424 Diesel (Bleeding System)

By at the filter I mean diesel is flowing into the filter fine with a full filter. As far as being used to clean the rectal area? That is a distinct possibility!! In regards to finding that bracket I have called places I have used in the past without luck. In regards to salvage yards those...

    424 Diesel (Bleeding System)

Sadly no it was a modification made back when my family was relevant in the farming industry back in the 80's. Back in those days it breaks and you just do a field mod to keep it going. I really wanted to get it back to original but cannot find part #18 ANYWHERE.

    424 Diesel (Bleeding System)

Well get ready it's this situation I have going on. It worked fine when last used and for years on the farm.

    424 Diesel (Bleeding System)

No but it hasn't run in about ten years. So I drained the tank and put in half a tank of diesel back in.

    424 Diesel (Bleeding System)

Good morning gentleman!!! I have searched the internet for tips when attempting to bleed a gravity fed diesel system without any luck. On my 424 I have fuel at the filter but cannot get fuel anywhere else in the system. I have historically done well with systems that contain a lift pump...

    424 Fuel Filter

It is the only filter with the original being mounted to the right of the oil filter in this photo. Part of me wants to try to find the brackets and return it to stock form. However the other side of me just wants to replace that one and get this tractor living again.

    424 Fuel Filter

Good morning!! I am debating whether to return this fuel filter back to stock or just go as is and replace the current filter. It is missing some metal lines that have been replaced by rubber. There is also no brackets for the original setup. What's your opinion?

    International 424 BD-154 Head Gasket

I am going to get it running hopefully this weekend. I am going to see about a coolant pressure test kit.

    International 424 BD-154 Head Gasket

It has been a long time but last I recall it was oil in coolant with a slight white color to the exhaust. Power was okay but my Grandfather, before passing, told me it had a head gasket issue. Lastly, further investigation revealed it was run without a thermostat.

    International 424 BD-154 Head Gasket

What other work may have to be done considering a bad head gasket?

    International 424 BD-154 Head Gasket

Hey guys could an amateur mechanic like myself change the head gasket and other associated work on a BD-154 effectively? Or am I looking to be in over my head on this one. Thank you for your input.

801 Fuel Shut Off (Teflon Or Not Teflon)

So gentlemen do I utilize teflon on the fuel line entering the shut off itself? I searched the forum and the answers all revolved around the flared ends which go to the carb. Sadly none apply to the shut off valve end.

    801 Fan Shroud Issues

It hits when there is no movement taking place also. However if that is an issue here I go with that now.

    801 Fan Shroud Issues

Thanks for the input on this issue. The interesting thing is I had zero issues with this before changing out the radiator.
