    Two problems...

I'm having a difficult time finding part numbers for the 2 tie link boots on each side of a 1950 Ford 8N. Also what is the best way to remove a stubborn steering wheel on the same tractor? I've tried heat and a big ball pin hammer. Thanks in advance for your help!

    8N Charging Issue

I checked the ammeter and it was bad. I replaced it and everything seems to work just fine now except when the tractor is running at about 1/2 throttle, the ammeter shows it charging at about 20-25 volts. When I shut the tractor off, the ammeter hand goes back to the middle as it should. Any...

    8N Charging Issue

The ammeter reads either pegged out on the positive side or pegged out on the negative side (when the tractor is not running). The meter hand...

    8N Charging Issue

I have a 1950 Ford 8N 6 volt positive ground I'm trying to fix up and I have a charging issue. The issue is that the ammeter read all the way to the - negative side of the ammeter so i checked to see if the generator was charging and it is, up to about 7.4-7.8 volts+ from 6.4+ volts. I put a...

    Headlights will not work

Concerning my 1983 John Deere 750 compact tractor, my hazard, work, and tail lights all work perfectly but my headlights will not work. The sockets each have two contacts and I have power to one of the contacts in each socket but no power to the other contact in each socket. Any ideas as to...

lift arms don't lift all the way up.

The control lever was and is in the "up" position as you had suggested. One thing I noticed last night was the bush hog raised to a higher height than ever before when I raised the lift lever. The tractor had been sitting for 5 days since last use.

lift arms don't lift all the way up.

Thanks. I'll check the lever position. The "75 Tips" was very helpful as well. Do you have any instructions on how to adjust the quadrant?
