    Well I starting overhauling the engine on my model 50 back in the fall and now I cant remember which spring and cap goes on which valve. The springs are two different length and one cap is solid and the other cap is two parts and the center swivels. Thanks for the help.

    Engine work in Fort Worth, Tx

    I live in Fort Worth, TX area and have not found some one to vat or acid dip the block and head on my JD 50, everyone I call said they stopped doing this because of EPA. I have also not found a machine shop that can bore the engine for me. Any recommendation would be much appreciated. Thanks Kevin

    I went out and pulled resistor of tractor and put a meter on it. It has no continuity and read an open on the resistance. So I was wonder if I change the 6volt coil if I could do away with this resistor.
