    I have done that and no air leaks out but the weird thing is some times it will stick close when I test it like that.

    I'm going to try replacing needle, seat and gasket. If it still does not work I'm going to contact the company that rebuilt the carb. Thank you for your help and advice I appreciate! Have a great night.

    Yes after the tractor did not want to run when I fixed the spark issue. So i thought the float adjustment was off so I set it to 1 5/32 and that is when the tractor now ran but It started to run really rich and the adjustment would not make a difference.

    I did do that and it keeps the fuel cut off but good idea I did not think of that.

    I tested the float in water and know it's good. OK that what I was thinking that the needle and seat is bad the only reason why I kept refusing that it was bad because the carb was sent out to a company to be rebuild 2 years ago. And before and during the two years the tractor had a spark issue...

    This an odd question but. My tractor is running super rich and I think the float hight was the problem because. When I would turn the fuel cut off on all the way it would start dripping alot out of the bottom hole on the carberator. This forces me to only run the tractor with the fuel cut off...

    Would I measure from the highest part of the float? Meaning from where the brackets connect to the float.

    Good evening im the new owner of a 1951 case D and I need help setting the float hight. What hight should it be set to and should set the hight with the gasket on? My carb is a Zenith model B carb. Also what should I set all the tuning screws to?

    Good Evening, I'm about to do a tune up on my 1951 case D and the service manual says to put an AC Delco AC85 spark plug in it. What spark plug would you recommend for my tractor that has the same or better heat range that is available?
